Incentive‐based demand response program with self‐reported baseline supported by blockchain technology

This research presents a decentralised incentive-based demand response (DR) program using blockchain technology. Consumers self-report baseline to the system operator (SO), smart contract confirms validity of data execute transactions and finally validators record information on network. During DR event, set consumers are randomly selected deliver required load reduction. The signalled consumer who delivers reduction is rewarded, non-called diverge from their reported penalised. randomness choosing penalty function restrict inflation. Here, we create network deploy Ethereum build platform. A event scenario adopted with residential houses sets, all report SO through Internet meter. calls four users essential according probability consumer. verifies received start transaction execution. We use proof authority mechanism select validation nodes participants voting system. They validate each block before adding it blockchain. Last, monetary settle in participants' wallets. Our results confirm that systems like can significantly improve transparency, openness, customer participation program. Also contributes security privacy user minimal investment new infrastructure.
